Our Story
Matai Lane is a small NZ family business making mealtimes with little ones simple, thoughtful and lovely 🥰 We're a family of three, two parents and one energetic daughter, and with my husband's encouragement I finally started something of my own. We wanted products that make family life easier, are made from food-grade materials, and are designed to be reused again and again, so they can be shared with the next little one. Our name comes from the native Mātai tree, a symbol of deep roots and strength, just like family, and a lane is a path that feels easier and a little more scenic. It's the experience we want to give every family, and the path we're on ourselves, growing Matai Lane one small step at a time.
